About Us

Theatre Deli empowers artists who want to change the world. The charity has been a driving force within the arts for over 10 years, supporting emerging companies whose work sits outside traditional theatre. Currently occupying venues across London and Sheffield, Theatre Deli develops diverse audiences, expands the cultural offering, and provides safe environments for artists at every stage of their careers to experiment, trial and showcase new work. Using a unique model, Theatre Deli engages with property developers to take over unused spaces to expand resources for people to make, participate and experience art. The results are accessible services that promote sustainability and resilience in the arts, and presentations of boundary-pushing work, providing opportunity and voice to those creating outside the mainstream.
Theatre Deli has been supported through government restrictions by Arts Council England and DCMS via the Cultural Recovery Fund as well as Sheffield City Council, the City of London Corporation and British Land. Theatre Deli has also received investment provided by the Northern Cultural Regeneration Fund, received via Key Fund, and funded by the Department for Digital, Culture Media and Sport (DCMS), as part of the legacy of the Great Exhibition in the North.
